During our impromptu 48-hour Parisian getaway, we chose to stay at the Hilton Paris Opera, one of Hilton’s flagship properties in the city. The hotel’s biggest strength is its central location next to Saint-Lazare station, which makes it easy to get around Paris by metro or train. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shopping nearby, along with the beautiful Palais Garnier Opera House just a short walk away.
While it’s convenient for local exploring, Hilton Paris Opera isn’t the closest option for Paris’s most famous landmark. The Eiffel Tower is about 3.5 km (2.1 miles) away, which took us close to an hour to walk. Keep this in mind if it’s your first trip and you want to be within quick reach of the tower.

How Much Does Hilton Paris Opera Cost?
For our two-night stay, we paid €792 total (about €396 per night). That price included standard room rates, taxes, and fees, but didn’t cover extras like breakfast or late check-out.
Average Price Per Night
Nightly rates at Hilton Paris Opera usually range from €350–€500 for standard rooms, depending on:
Season – Summer and December holidays are the most expensive.
Day of the week – Weekends typically cost more than weekdays.
Room type – Executive rooms and suites with lounge access push the rate much higher.
If you’re visiting Paris during peak travel times, expect prices to be on the higher end of that scale.
How to Get to Hilton Paris Opera from CDG & Other Paris Airports
Quick Takeaway: The fastest and easiest way from CDG to Hilton Paris Opera is a taxi or Uber (~€50, 30–40 minutes), while the RoissyBus (~€13.70, 1 hour) offers the best budget-friendly compromise.
The Hilton Paris Opera is located about 30 km (18 miles) from Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), and while the hotel doesn’t operate its own shuttle, it’s easy to reach by train, bus, or car. Here’s what to know about your options:
Taxi or Ride-Share from CDG to Hilton Paris Opera
We chose an Uber directly from CDG to the hotel, which cost us about €50. The ride-share pickup point was clearly marked in the arrivals terminal, and our driver found us quickly. Using the app also helped us skip the potential language barrier of negotiating with a driver.
Taxis cost roughly €53–€58, depending on which side of the river you’re headed to. They’re easy to find outside arrivals, though you may wait longer during busy times.
Train from CDG to Hilton Paris Opera
Another popular choice is taking the RER B train from CDG to Gare du Nord, and then transferring to Line 3 or walking about 15 minutes to the hotel. The train takes around 45 minutes and costs about €11 per person. It’s budget-friendly, but less convenient with luggage.
Bus from CDG to Hilton Paris Opera
The RoissyBus runs from CDG to Paris Opéra, dropping you near the hotel in about an hour. Tickets cost €13.70 per person, and the drop-off point is just a short walk from the Hilton Paris Opera. This is a good balance between cost and convenience.

Hilton Paris Opera Check-In Process (Times, Early Check-In & Tips)
Quick Takeaway: Standard check-in at Hilton Paris Opera begins at 4:00 PM, with an early check-in option (€100) available if your room is ready. Staff were friendly, efficient, and spoke fluent English, which made the process seamless.
Standard Check-In Process
When we arrived at Hilton Paris Opera, the doorman greeted us immediately, and the bellhop inside took our luggage. We were given a slip with a number to call when we wanted our bags delivered, which was quick and efficient. The lobby itself is stunning, with ornate stonework, chandeliers, and classic Parisian style that made a strong first impression.
The front desk staff was friendly and spoke excellent English, which made the process smooth. While we tried French, they switched to English immediately, which was helpful after a long flight.
Early Check-In Fee at Hilton Paris Opera
Official check-in starts at 4:00 PM, but we arrived around 10:30 AM after our transatlantic flight. The hotel offered us early check-in for a €100 fee. We decided it was worth it because we were exhausted and wanted to rest before exploring Paris.
While pricey, this option is helpful if you’re arriving in Paris early in the day and don’t want to wait hours for your room.
Luggage Storage Option
If you don’t want to pay the early check-in fee, Hilton Paris Opera offers luggage storage with the bellhop. They’ll tag your bags, give you a slip, and store them securely until your room is ready. This is a convenient option if you’d rather head out to sightsee or grab food without dragging your suitcases around.
Staff & Communication
We found the staff professional, warm, and very accommodating. Everyone in the lobby spoke English confidently, which made things easy for us as non-French speakers. Even though our French is limited, we never had communication issues.
Hilton Paris Opera Rooms: Types, Design & Our Experience
Quick Takeaway: The bathroom at Hilton Paris Opera was spotless, well-stocked, and even featured a small street-facing window that added charm.
Our Room Type & Cost
We booked a Superior King Room for two nights, which totaled €792, including the €100 early check-in fee. It wasn’t cheap, but for Paris, it felt in line with what you pay at a central 4-star property. We both agreed that while the price made us wince a little, the convenience and comfort after a long international flight made it worth it.

Room Design & Atmosphere
Walking into the room, the first thing we noticed was how clean and well-kept everything felt. Hilton Paris Opera isn’t the most modern hotel in Paris, but the design details gave the space real personality. The wallpaper behind the bed had illustrations of the Paris skyline and the Eiffel Tower, which felt playful and tied us immediately to the city. The bathroom floor tiles were laid out in a wavy pattern, something small but fun that broke away from the cookie-cutter hotel look. Little touches like this made the room feel more than just a place to crash; it actually felt thought out, and for us, that added excitement to the stay

View from the Room
Our window overlooked the city rooftops, with just the tip of the Eiffel Tower poking up in the distance. It wasn’t a full postcard view, but each morning we found ourselves leaning over to catch it as the sun came up. The window itself only opened an inch, but we made the most of it, cracking it open at night to let in a bit of breeze and the sounds of Paris drifting up from the street.
That simple act of hearing the city while dozing off made us feel more connected to being in Paris, even though the view wasn’t front-and-center Eiffel Tower glam.

Bathroom Review
The bathroom at Hilton Paris Opera was just as polished as the main room. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and ready when we arrived, plenty of towels, toiletries, and a tub/shower combo that felt bigger than we expected for Paris standards. One of our favorite details was the small window that opened out onto the street. It added character, and during the day, it let in a bit of fresh air and natural light. Just don’t forget to close it at night if you’re visiting in colder months, the Paris chill can creep in quickly! We didn’t run into any problems here: good water pressure, consistent hot water, and nothing out of place.

In-Room Amenities
We liked that the room came with a few extras that made the stay easier:
A reusable water bottle with refill stations throughout the hotel. We used it constantly and appreciated not having to buy bottled water each night.
A coffee and tea setup, which turned into our morning ritual. Drinking coffee while catching even a sliver of the Eiffel Tower felt like a very Parisian way to start the day.
The bed was comfortable, with fresh linens that felt crisp, and the room stayed surprisingly quiet given the central location.
Nothing felt over the top, but everything was practical, clean, and easy to use, exactly what we needed.
Hilton Paris Opera Amenities & Property Review
Design, Bar, and Layout (Yes, We Know, No Photos!)
We didn’t manage to snap any photos of the property, and yes, we know that’s a rookie move for a travel “professional.” But in our jet-lagged, 48-hour whirlwind in Paris, we were more focused on catching sleep and St-Germain pastries than framing lobby shots. So picture this: a Belle-Époque-style lobby, ornate chandeliers, and a gorgeous main bar called Le Grand Salon, a grand meeting spot blending elegance with old-world Parisian charm.
On-Site Dining & Lounge Options
The hotel offers:
An on-site restaurant and room service (we tested it with a sandwich and a pizza, quick, but the €60 price didn’t match the flavor).
A refined bar area, Le Grand Salon, open throughout the day, is perfect for unwinding in a beautiful setting.
Quai 108, a more casual dining area with a minimalist-industrial vibe and a menu inspired by creative street food.
Fitness Center on Site
Yes, there is a fitness room at Hilton Paris Opera. It’s conveniently located and securely integrated into the hotel. While it’s not the most impressive gym in Paris, it’s good enough for a quick workout or stretch in between tourist stops.
Concierge, Executive Lounge & Guest Amenities
The hotel staff clearly went above and beyond, and while we didn't explore everything, here's what we know:
Concierge services were available to help with recommendations, reservations, and logistics.
There is a business corner, dry cleaning, and laundry services for longer stays.
Executive Lounge access is available for eligible guests or those with Hilton status. We didn’t have time to check it out. Let us know below if you did!
Hilton Paris Opera Check-Out Process & Late Check-Out Options
Quick Takeaway: Standard check-out at Hilton Paris Opera is 12:00 PM, with late check-out available on request (sometimes for a fee). If you’re leaving later in the day, the hotel offers secure luggage storage.
Standard Check-Out Time
The standard check-out time at Hilton Paris Opera is 12:00 PM (noon). This gives you a bit more flexibility than some Paris hotels that set check-out at 11:00 AM.
Since our departure was very early in the morning, we didn’t go through a formal check-out process. Instead, we simply left our keys in the room and headed out. Later that day, we received our final receipt by email, and everything was accurate.
Late Check-Out Options
Hilton Honors members and guests in higher room categories may be eligible for late check-out (up to 2:00 PM) depending on availability. If you need more time, it’s best to request this at the front desk the night before departure. Some stays may have an additional fee.
Luggage Storage After Check-Out
If you’re checking out but have time before your flight or train, Hilton Paris Opera offers luggage storage with the bellhop. Just like at check-in, they’ll tag your bags, give you a claim slip, and store them securely until you’re ready to leave. This is especially handy if you want to squeeze in some last sightseeing around Paris without carrying bags.
Is Hilton Paris Opera Worth It? Our Final Verdict
We spent two nights at the Hilton Paris Opera, paying €792 in total (including early check-in). What stood out most were the small, thoughtful details in our room, like the Paris skyline wallpaper, the partial view of the Eiffel Tower, and even the refillable water bottle setup.
The location is perfect for anyone visiting the Palais Garnier Opera House or planning to use Saint-Lazare station as a base. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel is about an hour’s walk from the Eiffel Tower and further from some of the city’s other must-see sites.
The lobby and dining areas are stunning, the staff were warm and accommodating, and overall, the property delivered that elegant Belle-Époque feel. The downside? It comes with a higher nightly rate and a hefty €100 early check-in fee.
Would we stay again? Yes, but mainly if we wanted to be near the Opera district. For first-time Paris visitors prioritizing the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, there are more central options.
